Part-4 Adjectives: Where and when you need it to your betterment?

I already published three more articles about adjective. That articles are about positive, comparative and superlative degrees. This one also about adjectives, but it contains more about superlative degrees. You all may knew about adjectives but I am trying to my best here adding more knowledge what you know about it. Just open my all the articles of adjectives and serially read one by one then you can able to gaining more about it.

On my yesterday article, I already wrote many uses of the superlative degree. Now in this article I am going to writing more about the superlative degree.

How We Interchange the degree of comparison? These degrees of comparisons are interchangeable from one form to another. We should be made them such a way that the meaning of the sentence should not changed when we change it from one form to another. For proper understanding the meaning of the interchanging of the sentence, here I provided some examples for that.

(1) Superlative degree formula:-

S+ HV + The +  A3 + Rp

He is the ablest man of the office.
India is the most beautiful country of the world.

(2) Comparative Degree Formula:-

S + HV + A2 + than + Any other + Rp

He is  abler than any other man of the office.
India is more beautiful than any other country of the world.

(3) Positive Degree Formula:-

No other + Rp + HV + AS + AL + AS + S

1) No other one of the office is as able as he.
2) No other country of the world is as beautiful as India.

Please, read the above formula carefully. There you will find that any sentence given in any of the three degrees can be changed into any other degree. Following examples are helping you a lot for understanding me here.

(i) It is necessary to use “the” before the superlative degree. Like as:- I am the wished woman in the college.
(ii) It is necessary to use “other” with than any in the comparative degree. Like as:- Kalidas was greater than any other play writer.
(iii) The above formula is applicable only  there if the subjects are three or more than that.
(iv) If the subjects are only two the above rules can not used.

How to proceed when subjects are only two? when the subjects are only two, the formula of ‘superlative degree’ is not possible. In that case, the transformation can take place from ‘positive’ to ‘comparative’ degree or vice versa.

To be continue:- because of lack of space, I stopped here. In my next article I will be writing them. Till then you all read the above 4 articles which are based on adjectives. Please, never forget to like, share and comment on my articles. Thanks
