Using Of Homo Phonic Words In Our Life:-5

Everyday, we faces a numbers of words in English. Some of the words which are sounding equally, hence we facing a lot of problems which one is appropriate for using that. For solving that problems in our life, I trying to some effort and starting research on that words. There are many words which are sounding equal but actually their meanings are far difference from each other. You all may get some of them from my previous articles. This article also contains some of such words. They are as follows:-

24. (a) Continual: Forming a sequence in which the same action or event is repeated frequently.
Example: His plane went down after continual attacks.

(b) Continuous: Forming an unbroken whole; without interruption.
Example: The whole performance is enacted in one continuous movement.

25. (a) Cession: The formal giving up of rights, property, or territory by a state.

Example: The cession of twenty important towns.
(b) Session: A meeting of an official body, especially a legislature, council, or court of law, to conduct its business.
Example: The parliament’s Budget session begins on next month.
26. (a) Cord: Thin, flexible string or rope made from several twisted strands.
Example: The swing is hung with the help of a cord.
(b) Chord: A group of (typically three or more) notes sounded together, as a basis of harmony.
Example: The diameter is the longest chord of a circle.
(c) Curd: A soft, white substance formed when milk coagulates, used as the basis for cheese.
Example: We like to eat curd during summer.
27. (a) calendar: a chart or series of pages showing the days, weeks, and months of a particular year, or giving particular seasonal information.
Example: We use calendars to see the important days of the month.
(b) ca lender: A machine in which cloth or paper is pressed by rollers to glaze or smooth it.
Example: Please ca lender all the waste papers.

28. (a) Call: Give (a baby or animal) a specified name.

Example: They called their daughter Diya.
(b) Caul: the amniotic membrane enclosing a fetus.
Example: Sometimes the caul is confusing us.

29. (a) Cast: Throw (something) forcefully in a specified direction.

Example: Priya cast the book down on to the chair angrily.
(b) Caste: Each of the hereditary classes of Hindu society, distinguished by relative degrees of ritual purity or pollution and of social status.
