Past Perfect Tense For Your Betterment.

Past Perfect Tense is the really the past tense. It is used when we say that an action was completed before another action took place. Here the both actions are related to each other in some way. We learn this tense for showing the complete of the actions in the past. The one action that took place first is given the past perfect tense where as the second action which take place later,is expressed with past simple tense.

Learning of formula means gaining knowledge about the subject. As like that,learning of tenses means gaining more and more knowledge about the English. Affirmative Sentences

Formula:-subject+had+third form of verbs+object.

First person Second person Third person

I had gone to Puri before a month.

We had visited to the Zoo one year ago.

You had eaten your food one hour before.

S/he or it had done that work before.

They had finished their home work.

 Negative Sentences

Formula:-subject+had+not+third form of the verbs+object.

First person Second person Third person

I had not gone to Puri before a month.

We had not visited to the Zoo one year ago.

You had not eaten your food one hour before.

S/he or it had not done that work before.

They had not finished their home work.

 Interrogative Sentences

Formula:-had+subject+third form of the verbs+object.

First person Second person Third person

Had I gone to Puri before a month?

Had we visited to the Zoo one year ago?

Had you eaten your food one hour before?

Had S/he or it done that work before?

Had they finished their home work?



The above sentences are the positive interrogative sentences. We can able to write about the negative interrogative sentences. These are as follows:-
